The iPad price list is fairly reasonable. you can get the iPad through AT&T with a 250MB bandwidth usage for $14.99 and an unlimited plan for $29.99 a month contract free. all activations are processed through the iPad, so you can activate and deactivate whenever and wherever you want.
The iPad comes unlocked as default with a GSM micro SIMM so that you can use it abroad (although there are no international deals yet).
when purchasing a night that you have two questions you need to ask yourself; how much storage space you need, and whether you want WiFi only all WiFi and 3G.

Before you buy an iPod. you need to decide whether you are willing to spend an extra $130 for 3G functionality.
